Story Telling
Ompa has been a single father to his only son (Nelann) since 2008 after a possible professional League career deemed unlikely.
He then went back to studying at Weltec in 2010 and by 2014 he graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Technology with a major in Digital Media. Then in 2016 he enrolled at Yoobee School of
Design to learn to code. He has recently completed a 15weeks bootcamp Full-stack Javascript developement course at Enspiral Dev Academy. He now hopes to get real experience in the creative industry where design and code can become one. His ultimate goal is to own a software development business and help other single parents achieve their gaols
Today, this single-dad / Graphic and Web enthusiast works from home as a freelance digital designer.
Ompa comes from a beautiful Province of Chimbu situated in the heart of Papua New Guinea. He arrived in New Zealand in 1999 on an academic scholarship to study at Nelson College for boys for 3years. He has played representative and international Rugby League whilst living in N.Z. His passion for life is timeless - and although he has been away from his homeland for a long time, he feels very fortunate to have been around his son and learn new things like codying while appreciating the beautiful land and people of Aotearoa.
